Hyderabad: Rohit Sharma delivered another stellar performance, scoring his second consecutive half-century, while partnering with Suryakumar Yadav (40 not out) to secure a convincing seven-wicket victory for the Mumbai Indians against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday.


In pursuit of a modest target of 143 runs for 8 wickets, set by Sunrisers, which featured a strong innings from Heinrich Klaasen (71 off 44 balls) and a 99-run partnership with Abhinav Manohar (43 off 37 balls), Rohit showcased his batting prowess, finishing with 70 runs off 46 balls and wrapping up the match in just 15.4 overs.


Earlier in the match, Mumbai's bowlers, led by Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult, delivered an outstanding performance, limiting Sunrisers Hyderabad's scoring opportunities.


Chahar (2 wickets for 12 runs) and Boult (4 wickets for 26 runs) dismantled the SRH batting lineup early on, leaving them struggling at 13 for 4 by the fifth over, before Klaasen's impressive innings provided some recovery.
